Jr. Fiberglass Technician

An entry-level (0-2 years of experience) fiberglass technician prepares mold surfaces, cuts glass, hand-layups glass, demolds, and grinds fiberglass parts.  

Job will require the following skills:
 
  • Measuring parts within 1/8” tolerance. 
  • Reading instructions and labels.
  • Using electric and air tools to cut, grind, and sand fiberglass.
  • Using a template to cut fiberglass mat.
  • Wetting out glass and laying glass to a defined layup schedule.
  • Organizing work station to improve productivity and reduce mistakes. 
  • Preparing mold surfaces
  • Demolding – removing molds from fiberglass parts

Fiberglass Technician

A mid-level (2-5 years of experience) fiberglass technician assembles molds, prepares mold surfaces, cuts glass, hand-layups glass, demolds, and grinds fiberglass parts. 

Job will require the following skills:

  • Measuring parts within 1/16” tolerance.
  • Reading instructions and labels.
  • Using electric and air tools to cut, grind, and sand fiberglass.
  • Using a template to cut fiberglass mat.
  • Wetting out glass and laying glass to a defined layup schedule.
  • Organizing work station to improve productivity and reduce mistakes.
  • Assembling molds, checking dimensions, and preparing surfaces
  • Demolding – removing molds from fiberglass parts

Job will require the following knowledge:

  • Fractional English (US) measuring units
  • Hand-layup Fiberglass
  • Mixing and promoting resin
  • Measuring and activating resins with catalyst
  • Handling and storing flammable liquids

Job will require the following behavior:

Hydrostatic Test Technician

An entry-level (0-5 years of experience) test technician assembles final product on test station, pressurizes product, inspects for defects and records pressure test.  

Job will require the following skills:

  • Attaching blind flanges and gaskets on pipe flanges.
  • Using air wrench to tighten bolts.
  • Using a calibrated torque wrench.
  • Filling product pressurized water.
  • Recognizing hazards of testing and following safe working procedures. 
  • Inspecting product and recording results

Jr. Packing and Shipping Technician

An entry-level (0-2 years of experience) packer will assist senior personnel lift and pack products into boxes.
  
Job will require the following skills:
 
  • Lifting 60lbs packages daily.
  • Operating hand trucks and forklift. 
  • Assembling boxes and packing large products
  • Weighing shipments and recording package dimensions
 
Job will require the following knowledge:
 
  • On-job training provided
